The Quest for the Crown charity hockey festival was founded by The Hockey Guild owner Justin Goldman in June 2007 with the sole purpose of raising funds and awareness for the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer foundation.
Through his bold idea for a four-day hockey tournament and festival, which takes place annually during the height of NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, hockey fans throughout Colorado and all across the globe now have a home to celebrate the game we love while joining the NHL in their most important fight – the fight against cancer.
The inaugural Quest for the Crown charity festival was held from May 1 – 3, 2008 and included 26 adult hockey teams. The second-annual Quest hockey festival took place April 30 – May 2 of 2009 and was once again hosted at Big Bear. It included 32 adult hockey teams, including two women’s teams all the way from Anchorage, Alaska.
:: THE HOCKEY GUILD NETWORK ::
One way we raise awareness for the Quest festival is through the network of Guild Websites. Over the last two years we have developed a stronger community that stretches outside of Colorado and spans the entire globe!
