The Hockey Guild is proud to welcome back the Grand Junction Pioneers for their second straight appearance in our Quest for the Crown charity hockey tournament.
Last year, the Pioneers, who are led by captain and goalie Bob Howell, made the trek all the way from Grand Junction to Big Bear in order to support our cause and help raise awareness for Hockey Fights Cancer. That’s quite a trip for a weekend of charity hockey, but by the feedback we received, it was well worth the travel!

When it comes to all of that driving, you can just tell the Pioneers have a real passion for local hockey. Case in point – they even brought the whole crew out to an Avalanche home game a few weeks ago to play in one of our After-Hours games!
We are proud to host the Grand Junction Pioneers adult hockey club and promote hockey in that area. It sounds like more locals in the area are throwing on skates and taking to the ice, so keep up the great work guys and we’ll see you in April!
